Administration

The Administration is made up of the Provost and all other staff in the College. The Provost who is appointed by the Governor on the recommendation of the Governing Council is the Chief Executive responsible for the implementation of College policies and programmes and for the welfare of all staff and students. Other Principal Officers are the Deputy Provost, Registrar, Bursar and College Librarian. The Deputy Provost acts in the absence of the Provost and performs other functions as may be assigned by the Provost, especially on academic matters. The Registrar is the Secretary of the Governing Council and is head of the Registry. Two main Divisions of the Registry are the Academic and the Student Affairs Divisions. There are also the Bursary, Library, Works and Services and College Medical Services Departments. Other units are Security, Information, Protocol and Publicity, Internal Audit, Academic Planning and Quality Assurance, Procurement, I.C.T. and Guidance and Counseling.
There are many standing Committees mandated by the Council, Management or Academic Board to carry out special functions. These include the Housing Committee, Hostel Maintenance Committee, Security Committee, Senior Staff Discipline Committee, Staff Development Committee, Landscape and Green Belt Committee, Staff Medical Welfare Committee, Servicom and Students Discipline Committee. Others are Teaching Practice, Admissions, Time Table, Examinations Malpractice, Screening, Public Lectures and Seminar, Research and Academic Board Business Committee. These Committees provide for a for wide consultation and collective decision making on a wide range of matters.

The Provost is the Chief Executive of the College. All Principal Officers of the College are directly responsible to him. Other key sectors of the College that include security, work/Maintenance, Student Affairs, and Health services are also under his office. He is the Chief Accounting Officer of the College. .

The Deputy Provost acts for the Provost in his absence and carries out all other duties assigned to him by the Provost. He liaises with Deans and Heads of Department in all academic matters. .

The Registrar who is the Chief Scribe of the College heads the registry. He is responsible to the Provost for the administration of the College. His office provides secretariat services to all units of the College. As the Chief Administrative Officer of the College, the Registrar is Secretary to the Governing Council, the Academic Board and the Congregation. His office handles all formal correspondence on appointment, resignation, legal and property matters. The registry contains a number of divisions, including establishment, academic, and Council matters
